Richard Fey, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Division One South club Melksham Town, has announced the signing of goalkeeper Connor Johns.

The 23-year-old commands his area well and established himself in the Southern Division One South with Highworth Town in 2018/19.

He joined the Worthians in 2018 from Shrivenham Town where his performances contributed to promotion to the Hellenic Premier.

He was also previously with Swindon Supermarine.

Melksham manager Richard Fey told his club`s website: “Connor is another great signing for the club. He is an established goalkeeper at this level who has won the player of the season award for the last couple of years at Highworth.

“He always impresses me when my sides have come up against him and he impressed me straight away when wanting to agree to come now that Jamie Bartlett has moved away.

“He will only strengthen us in this position, especially with the professional work that goalkeeper coach Nick Evans does. We also have very good keepers in Rob Brown and Harry Pickering to battle for the number one position. The squad will have great competition which is something that we didn't have for the past couple of seasons”.
