Keeper Commits to Redditch

Fans` favourite stays.

Redditch United have announced that goalkeeper Kieran Boucher has agreed to sign a contract with the Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club ahead of the 2021/22 season.

The Redditch faithful have seen him develop over recent seasons and his performances have kept him as firm fan's favourite.

The 21-year-old started his career with Aston Villa, playing in their under-18 side in 2016/17.

He was also included in the Villa under-23 squad and appeared in the FA Youth Cup against Bury in 2018.

He impressed Redditch during pre-season 2019 and was signed on to compete for the first-team jersey.

He switched to league rivals Stratford Town in June 2020 but was back at the Trico Stadium three months later.

Manager Matt Clarke told his club`s website: “This signing is massive for us! We have always said that we wanted stability in the squad and this signing is another step forward. The supporters know what we will get from Kieran, his commitment to develop is there for all to see. We congratulate Kieran in being rewarded with his new deal as he has worked so hard to continue to develop himself and the team".
