Joint Bosses Extend Chesham Stay

New deals for Generals` pair.

Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Chesham United have announced that joint managers James Duncan and Michael Murray have signed contract extensions.

The new deal will keep the pair at the Meadow for 2021/22 and 2022/23 with an option for a further year.

Duncan and Murray joined Chesham as joint bosses in October 2018.

Duncan was previously the manager of Potters Bar Town where he guided them to automatic promotion from the Isthmian League Division One North in 2017/18 and then to a successful top ten start in the Isthmian Premier in 2018/19 before joining Chesham.

Duncan holds a UEFA B licence and has coached in both academy and semi-professional settings.

Before going into management, he had a thirteen-year playing career as a midfielder with the likes of Wealdstone, Uxbridge and Slough Town.

Murray was also part of a successful coaching team and playing squad at Potters Bar.

He joined the Scholars as a player in 2016/17 from Chalfont St Peter, and his other former clubs include Northwood, Hendon, Uxbridge and North Greenford United where he was a prolific goalscorer and a set-piece specialist.
