Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Tamworth have made it eight new signings for the close season to date with three more checking into The Lamb.

Having already recruited Jordaan Brown from Stourbridge, Ben Hart from Burton Albion, Orrin Pendley from Rushall Olympic, Mike Taylor from Bromsgrove Sporting and Jack Thomas from Ilkeston Town, the Lambs have now added Tom Ward, Kevin Da Silva Bastos and Prince Mancinelli.

Ward is an experienced 30-year-old defender who moved from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Grantham Town.

He had re-joined Grantham in July 2020 from Vanarama National League side King`s Lynn Town, where he had returned in November 2019 after leaving the Gingerbreads.

He started out in the United Counties League with Sleaford Town and then moved up the Pyramid to join Boston United in the summer of 2010 and remained in the National League North by signing for Gainsborough Trinity in July 2013.

He moved to Lynn for the first time in December 2016 from St Neots Town and in his first spell, made 62 appearances, scoring 6 goals.

The centre-half was offered the chance to return to The Walks in the 2018 pre-season by then-manager Simon Clark but declined the offer and moved to Grantham.

Attacking midfielder Kevin Da Silva Bastos has also earned a Tamworth deal.

The youngster started his career with Championship side Nottingham Forest before moving to Grantham.

Prior to joining up with the Lambs he had spells at Northern Counties East League side Staveley Miners Welfare, NPL Division One Midlands outfit Loughborough Dynamo and former Midland League Premier Division and now United Counties League Premier Division North side Newark FC.

Highly promising young midfielder Prince Mancinelli has also checked into The Lamb.

The 20-year-old Italian has previously plied his trade with Northern Premier League Premier Division outfit Basford United, and most recently with former Midland League Premier Division and now UCL Premier Division North side Long Eaton United and Radford, then in the East Midlands Counties and now in the UCL Division One.
