Guy Hadland, manager of Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central club Barwell, has announced two more new signings and the commitment of several of last season`s squad ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

Joining attacking midfielder Joel Carta, who joined from Vanarama National League North side Kettering Town earlier this summer, in Barwell colours will be pacey winger Osebi Abadaki.

The 30-year-old is a well-travelled performer who joined Matlock Town in September 2020 from Northern Premier League Premier Division rivals Buxton, where he had only been since June 2020.

He had re-signed for Barwell`s league rivals Hednesford Town in June 2019 having made a handful of appearances for the Pitmen in 2018/19 before ending the season with another NPL Premier Division side, Witton Albion.

A former Blackburn Rovers trainee, he has also represented Baguley Athletic, Altrincham, Stalybridge Celtic, Ashton United (twice), Mossley AFC (twice), Buxton, Northwich Victoria, Radcliffe Borough, Salford City, FC Halifax Town, Farsley Celtic and Stafford Rangers.

Returning to Barwell from league rivals Alvechurch is 22-year-old midfielder Dominic Brown-Hill.

Brown-Hill originally joined the Yellows during the 2018/19 season after being released by Notts County.

He transferred to Alvechurch in February 2020.

Committing to another season at The UK Flooring Direct Ground are Tristan Dunkley, Max Bramley, Liam Castle, Declan Towers, Eddie Nisevic, Eliot Putman, Micah Edwards, Jahvan Davidson-Miller and Brady Hickey.

Dunkley, 28, is a forward who initially signed for Barwell in late August 2019.

A former Birmingham City trainee, he spent time with Loughborough University as a student and player, Worcester City, where he netted 7 goals in 42 games, Hednesford Town, Solihull Moors, Halesowen Town, Redditch United, Rushall Olympic, Tamworth and Alvechurch.

The goalkeeping position will again be contested between the vastly experienced Liam Castle and the younger Max Bramley, who have both committed to the club for 2021/22.

Castle, 34, has been with Barwell for 13 years and was the club's number one keeper for several years. However, 23-year-old Bramley has been the more regular gloveman in the last season since signing in October 2019 from Premier League Leicester City, where he came through the ranks of under-18 and under-23 sides.

Towers is a 30-year-old defender who re-joined the Yellows in January 2020 after spells with Kettering Town and Nuneaton Borough, while Nisevic, also 30, has been with the club since 2014.

He came through Nuneaton Borough`s youth system and broke into the first team and is remembered amongst the Boro faithful for scoring the winner in the play-offs against Chippenham Town in 2010.

He joined Barwell from Brackley Town.

Putman is a left-back who re-signed for Barwell in October 2018 from Stamford.

He came through the youth ranks of Leicester City before signing for St Andrews and then left to join Barwell for the first time as a 17-year-old.

Edwards is a 21-year-old midfielder who signed for Barwell in late August 2019.

He started his career with Derby County and then signed for Ilkeston Town in the summer of 2017 upon his release by the Rams.

He moved on to play for Northern Premier side Mickleover Sports and then Gresley FC in February 2019.

Davidson-Miller, 22, is a forward who signed for Barwell in 2018/19 from Kettering Town.

He has also played for Belper Town, Cardiff City under-23s and Derby County.

And finally, also putting pen-to-paper is captain Brady Hickey.

The 25-year-old midfielder re-joined Barwell in January 2018 from rivals Nuneaton Borough, having been back on loan earlier that 2017/18 season.

He had moved to Nuneaton in July 2017 from Barwell, where he began his career, and attracted the attention of Premier League Leicester City.
