Amongst St Ives Town`s new signings ahead of the 2021/22 Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division Central season are three players who know what it`s like to win the division.

That`s because Brett Solkhon, Paul White and Michael Richens all won Southern Premier Division Central championship winning medals with Kettering Town in 2018/19.

Veteran 38-year-old midfielder Solkhon was actually on dual registration with the Saints last season.

The long-serving midfielder or defender made well over 550 appearances for the now Vanarama National League North Poppies since joining in March 2002.

Previously he turned out for the now defunct Rushden & Diamonds and has also played for Corby Town.

He re-joined the Poppies from Brackley Town in the 2014 close season, having left the club in 2011.

He was a member of the team that won the Conference North championship in 2007/08 and throughout his first six seasons, which included representing an England Select XI and a testimonial game against Oxford United, he was ever-present in the side and became only the second player in the history of the club to win all of the end of season trophies at the 2014/15 presentation evening, as well as the first Poppies player to switch on the town`s Christmas lights!

He became only the second Poppy to reach 500 games for the club.

White, 26, is an Irish-born goalkeeper who joins St Ives from National League North side Hereford FC, where he had been since leaving Kettering in the summer of 2020.

He has previously played for Cork City, North Leigh, Gloucester City, Frome Town, Forest Green Rovers and Boreham Wood.

The experienced former Republic of Ireland under-18 international joined the Poppies in September 2016 and soon established himself as the club’s number one with a string of fine performances that have made him a firm fan's favourite.

He has also played for Peterborough United, Farnborough, Whitehawk, Nuneaton Town, Stevenage, and Bishop`s Stortford.

He re-joined the Poppies in June 2017 on a permanent basis.

Also moving to Westwood Road is midfielder Callum Milne, who makes the step up a level from Southern Division One Central outfit Bedford Town.

He joined the Eagles in August 2019 from now Northern Premier League Division Midlands Wisbech Town.

He also has a spell with Kettering on his CV as well as Eynesbury Rovers and Harborough Town.

As a youngster, he was with Northampton Town and spent six years with Aston Villa.

Eniola Agemoh-Davies is an 18-year-old full-back who joins the Saints after being at the Northampton Pro-Direct Academy in Daventry.
