Midfielder moves to the Eyrie after Spanish travels.

Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club Bedford Town have announced the signing of Hugh Alban Jones.

The 22-year-old spent his youth career with now-Championship side Peterborough United.

Having been released by Posh, he then went on to spend three years in Spain, playing for Tercera Division Novelda CF, Segunda Division side CF Lorca, Regional League side FC Benidorm, Segunda Division Hercules B and Tercera División side CD Llanes.

Since returning to these shores, he has attracted interest from several Vanarama National League clubs, but he has chosen to continue his football development at the Eyrie for the coming season.

Manager Gary Setchell told his club`s website: "We've all been really impressed with Hugh since he came on trial earlier in pre-season. He gives us a different dimension in midfield, breaks up play and is creative for us going forward. He joins the other lads in a very competitive midfield".
