Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Chesham United have signed defender Jordan Gibbons.

Gibbons, who turns 28 later this week, joins from Isthmian League Premier Division side Wingate & Finchley, who he signed for midway through the 2020/21 campaign.

He came up through the ranks at Championship side Queens Park Rangers from where he had a loan spell at Scottish Championship side Inverness Caledonian Thistle before moving on to Yeovil Town.

He then went on to Wingate before playing for Phoenix Rising in Arizona, where amongst his team-mates in the United States were Didier Drogba and Bradley and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

Upon his return to England, he signed for Whitehawk under Steve King before following him to Vanarama National League South outfit Welling United in the summer of 2018.

He switched to the Wings` league rivals Chelmsford City in July 2019 and then to another in Dartford the following October before re-joining Wingate midway through the 2020/21 season.

He made 10 starts for Wingate this season before making the switch to the Meadow, where he made his debut against Hendon on Saturday.
