Gwengwe Makes Dorchester Move

Glenn Howes, manager of Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Dorchester Town, has returned to his former club, Division One South side AFC Totton, to sign forward Shaq Gwengwe.

The 22-year-old had joined the Stags in September 2021 from then-Isthmian League Premier Division outfit Worthing.

He featured in the Rebels` first team on 5 occasions in 2021/22 after making 6 in the truncated 2020/21 campaign after arriving at The Crucial Environmental Stadium in the summer of 2020.

An impressive tally of 15 goals in just 13 appearances – as part of a final total of 24 in 35 – for Wessex Premier side Andover Town in 2018/19 sealed a move up to then-Southern Premier Division South side Blackfield & Langley by November of that term.

Looking to stay at Step 3 after the Watersiders` decision to revert back to Wessex League football, he moved on to Worthing nine months later.
