Jono Brown
Southern League Premier Division Central club Alvechurch have signed goalkeeper Jono Brown and welcomed back forward Aaron Lloyd.
Brown arrives from Northern Premier League Premier Division side Stafford Rangers.
The 23-year-old is a young but experienced keeper who is extremely vocal and has very good distribution.
He joined Rangers in January 2020 from Southern Division One South outfit Evesham United, where he had only been since the previous November after signing from neighbours Bromsgrove Sporting.
He was in his second spell with Sporting, who enjoyed a successful loan spell when he joined the Rouslers from Kidderminster Harriers in 2016.
He re-joined Sporting at the start of the 2018/19 season having been on loan at Sutton Coldfield Town for half of the previous season.
Before joining Harriers, Brown had been with Boldmere St Michaels, AFC Wulfrunians and Rushall Olympic.
Lloyd switched from Alvechurch for his second spell with league rivals Stourbridge in June 2019.
He started out with Shrewsbury Town and had a loan 'work experience' stint with Stafford Rangers before signing for the Glassboys as a teenager in March 2010 following his release by the Shropshire outfit.
He came off the bench to score on his debut against Nuneaton Town and he made 6 substitute appearances in total during the rest of that season.
The summer of 2010 saw him dual register with Causeway United in the then-named Midland Alliance, but he actually made his one and only start for the Glassboys in November 2010 in a 2-1 win at Evesham United.
He has subsequently featured for Halesowen Town, Cradley Town, Dudley Town and Stourport Swifts.
Having previously spent a brief stint with Alvechurch at the beginning of the 2016/17 campaign, the powerful striker returned to Lye Meadow from Stourport Swifts in January 2018 to help them with their successful promotion push from the Northern Premier League Division One South.
