There were plenty of behind-closed-doors friendly games involving Southern League clubs today.

Of the Southern League Premier Division Central teams in action, Royston Town beat Southern Division One Central hosts Welwyn Garden City 4-1 at Hurns Lane.

Brandon Adams, Jonny Edwards with two, including a penalty and a triallist were the Crows on target, with Jack Vasey replying.

St Ives Town hosted Southern Premier Division South side Hayes & Yeading United at the ProEdge Stadium and won 3-2.

Scott Donnelly and Omar Rowe were the visitors on the mark, while triallists accounted for the Saints efforts.

Leiston beat Thurlow Nunn League visitors Woodbridge Town 5-2.

The Blues` scorers were Jamie Eaton-Collins, Kyle Hammons, Marcus Wilkinson, Will Davies and Josh Hitter.

New signing Shaun Dallimore and the returning George Hallahan were the visiting marksmen.

Winchester City enjoyed a good 5-3 win at Isthmian South Central side Bedfont Sports.
