Saturday`s Pre-Season Friendly Round-Up

A plethora of games involving Southern League clubs - some at last able to admit COVID-19 secure spectators.

Of the Southern Premier Division Central sides in action, Leiston were 4-1 winners at Isthmian League North Division outfit Felixstowe & Walton United.

The Blues` goals came from Marcus Wilkinson in the first half and Liam Jackson, Will Davies and Finlay Barnes in the second.

Dave Pearce scored the only goal as Royston Town lost 1-0 at The Meadow to Southern Premier Division South side Chesham United, who also beat Isthmian North outfit Ware later 3-0 with Pearce again on the mark, along with Karl Oliyede and Dernell Wynter.

Banbury United suffered a 5-0 defeat at home against SkyBet League One side Oxford United.

Stratford Town won 3-0 at home against Southern Premier Division South side Yate Town.

Kynan Isaac, Josh Endall and Leam Howards were the home scorers.

Alvechurch, however, were beaten 2-0 at Midland League Premier Division Sporting Khalsa, for whom Jake Gosling bagged a brace.

Tamworth were beaten 1-0 at The Lamb by Northern Premier League Premier Division side Mickleover.

A Mason Warren penalty on 34 minutes was the decider.

A first half brace from Rakeem Reid and a Sam Whittall penalty saw Rushall Olympic to a 3-1 win against Midland League Premier Division Boldmere St Michaels.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds won 2-1 at Hillgrounds against Southern Division One Central side Kempston Rovers.

Hednesford Town and Vanarama National League North side Kettering Town shared a 0-0 draw at Keys Park.

Stourbridge and Midland League Premier Division AFC Wulfrunians shared a 2-2 draw.

Darryl Knights` penalty and a triallist for the Glassboys.

Nuneaton Borough were beaten 2-0 at Northern Premier Division One South East side Loughborough Dynamo, for whom second half goals from Charlie Young and Tristan Matthews proved decisive.

Kings Langley shared a 1-1 draw with Southern Division One Central side Berkhamsted.

Eric Lopes gave Berko a 21st minute lead that Brad Wadkins cancelled out within 5 minutes.

Peterborough Sports enjoyed a good 4-1 win at Isthmian Premier Division Bishop`s Stortford.

Barwell sealed a 2-1 win at United Counties League Premier Division Harborough Town.

Redditch United came from behind to draw 2-2 at the Trico Stadium with Midland Leaguers Highgate United.

Southern Premier Division South teams in action on Saturday included Poole Town, who secured a 3-1 win at Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier side New Milton.

The Dolphins had Sam Jackson sent-off on the hour-mark for a last-man challenge but came back from a goal down to win with goals from Bailey Rowen with two and Tony Lee.

Metropolitan Police were beaten 1-0 at Imber Court by Isthmian Premier Division Horsham, for whom Rob O`Toole scored the only goal.

Hendon won 2-1 at Isthmian South Central outfit Chalfont St Peter.

A first minutes Dwade James effort and another right on half-time from Shaun Lucien proved enough for the Greens, with Riccardo Alexander-Greenaway replying 3 minutes from time.

Farnborough won 3-0 at Isthmian South Central side Molesey, while Tiverton Town edged out Southern Division One South hosts Bideford AFC 2-1 with goals from Jared Lewington and Ed Butcher after Ray Turner had put Biddy in front.

Weston-super-Mare were beaten 1-0 at Western League neighbours Clevedon Town, whose goal came from the penalty spot.

Frank Keita bagged a first half brace to add to George Moore`s opener as Harrow Borough won 3-0 at Earlsmead against Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Windsor.

Hayes & Yeading United secured a 3-2 win against Isthmian South Central side Uxbridge, courtesy of goals from Omar Rowe, Bay Downing and a Scott Donnelly penalty.

Gosport Borough were held to a 0-0 draw by Wessex League Lymington Town.

Of the Southern Division One Central teams to play, Callum Harvey netted a hat-trick as Thame United overcame Southern Premier Division South side Beaconsfield Town 5-3.

Halesowen Town won 2-0 at Midland League Division One side Leicester Road.

Greg Hackett bagged the other two for the hosts.

Aylesbury United and Spartan South Midlands Leaguers Risborough Rangers shared a 3-3 draw.

A brace from Ty Deacon, including a penalty, and a second spot-kick converted by Sonny French were the Ducks on target.

A goal from Charlie Joy separated Spartan South Midlands League side Baldock Town and Biggleswade FC, while a Bailey Stevenson effort won the game for Baldock`s rivals Colney Heath against AFC Dunstable.

Coleshill Town lost 2-1 at Coles Lane against Northern Premier Division One South East side Sutton Coldfield Town.

Bedford Town went down 3-1 at the New Eyrie to National League new boys Wealdstone.

Connor Tomlinson scored the Eagles goal wasn`t enough as new signings Danny Parish and Charlee Hughes, as well as Michee Efete were on the mark for the Stones.

Bedworth United were beaten 1-0 at Midland League Premier Division neighbours Coventry Sphinx.

And amongst the Southern Division One South sides in action, Bristol Manor Farm eased to a 5-1 win at Bristol Suburban League minnows Avonmouth.

Goals from Jay Adams, Jamie Bird, Aron Robbins and a Lewis Leigh-Gilchrist brace for Manor Farm.

Cinderford Town and Southern Division One Central side Wantage Town shared a 1-1 draw.

Zak Drew for the Foresters and a triallist for the Alfredians, who played with ten-men for the final half-hour after Ryan Knight was dismissed.

An own goal and a Rob Hobbs effort saw Frome Town to a 2-1 win at Toolstation Western League Premier Division Shepton Mallet.

Melksham Town held National League South side Chippenham Town to a 1-1 draw at the infiLED Arena.

David Pratt`s 19th minute opener for the Bluebirds was cancelled out by a Jack Ball penalty 7 minutes after half-time.

AFC Totton also entertained National League South opposition in much-fancied Havant & Waterlooville, who ran out 3-1 winners.

Ethan Taylor gave the Stags the lead but a Joe Iaciofano brace and one from a triallist secured the Hawks win.

A goal from Kieran Roberts sealed Moneyfields` win against Wessex Leaguers Folland Sports, while Basingstoke Town suffered a 4-1 defeat at Southern Division One Central Kidlington, whose Kaylem Patterson with two, Aaron Morton and Jacob Davidge were on target, with Brad Wilson replying.

A Lewis Powell brace saw Larkhall Athletic to a 2-1 win against Western Leaguers Roman Glass in a game played at Bristol Manor Farm.

Hampshire Premier League side Infinity ran out 4-3 winners over Sholing, for whom Harry Edmondson with two and Josh Carey were on target.

Josh McCormick pulled Winchester City level as they shared a 1-1 draw with Wessex Leaguers Baffins Milton Rovers.
