More midweek action involving Southern League clubs.

Southern Premier Division Central side Stratford Town were entertained at Aston Villa`s training ground at Bodymoor Heath by the Premier League outfit`s under-23 side.

The sides ended up sharing a 1-1 draw in which Stratford`s reply was an own goal from a Villa defender under pressure from Lewis Wilson.

Stratford`s league rivals Peterborough Sports once again had their shooting boots on, hammering Isthmian League North side Cambridge City 7-0 in a game on a neutral venue behind closed doors.

It was probably a good thing that City supporters were not able to watch as Sports were 4-0 up at the break and ran in three more in the second period.

Callum Johnson bagged a brace for the visitors and there were singles for Josh Moreman, Lewis Hilliard, Mark Jones, Dion Sembie-Ferris and Matt Sparrow.

After a goalless first half, Nick McCootie put the hosts in front just before the hour-mark.
