Bennett Added to City`s Group

Midfielder returns to Citizens.

Pitching In Southern Football League Division One Central club Welwyn Garden City have strengthened their midfield with the signing of Joe Bennett.

Bennett, who can play in central or left-side midfield, has recently moved back to live in Hertfordshire.

He previously lived and played his football in West Suffolk, where he played for Thurlow Nunn League Premier Division side Newmarket Town for the past three seasons.

Previously when Herts based, he was with Potters Bar Town and also had a short spell with Soham Town Rangers.

It’s a second spell at Herns Lane for the 28-year-old as he played a couple of pre-season friendlies in a Claret shirt three seasons ago under Adam Fisher.
