Babos Makes Banbury Move

Late signing for Puritans.

Banbury United made a late signing ahead of the opening game in the Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division.

Manager Andy Whing brought in attacking midfielder Alex Babos.

Babos, who turns 23 next Sunday, had joined Vanarama National League side King`s Lynn Town in April 2021 from National League North side Alfreton Town, for whom he joined in October 2020.

He started his career progressing through Derby County`s system, having also played for Real Union in Spain on loan.

The other clubs Babos has played for include FC United of Manchester and he has also appeared for Wales at under-21 level, making his debut in a European Championship game against Liechtenstein.
