Edwards Quits Barnstaple

Barum on the lookout for a new manager.

Dean Edwards has resigned as manager of Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Barnstaple Town.

Edwards quit following Saturday`s 1-0 home defeat at the hands of league rivals Lymington Town in the Emirates FA Cup First Qualifying Round.

Barum chairman, Bob Chamberlain said: “On behalf of the club I would like to thank Dean for his hard work whilst with the football club and we wish him the very best for his future career.”

For Tuesday night`s home game with Plymouth Parkway, in the Preliminary Round of the Southern League Challenge Cup, assistant manager Kevin Darch will take charge of the team.

But the club are now on the look-out for a new first-team manager.

They are looking for someone with experience of playing and/or coaching at Step 4 level and above with the necessary coaching qualifications to operate at Southern League level.

Good footballing contacts within the south-west area would also be an advantage.

For positive-thinking, self-motivated and enthusiastic people, please send a football CV and a covering letter to chairman, Bob Chamberlain, via: chamberlainbob375@gmail.com or call 07771-532 787.
