Barzey Joins - Martin-Miles Returns to Chesham

New signing for Generals.

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division South club Chesham United have signed Brandon Barzey from Vanarama National League South side Hampton & Richmond Borough.

Barzey joined the Beavers in the summer of 2021 from Hanworth Villa, after impressing numerous members of the coaching staff with his performances for the Combined Counties League Premier Division side.

Originally from the Harlesden area of London, the lively winger started his career with Queen’s Park Rangers.

He was with the Rs from under-14 to under-18 level as a schoolboy and then a scholar, including a number of appearances for the under-23s.

After his time at Loftus Road finished, he moved to Isthmian League South Central outfit Staines Town before heading to Hanworth.

Despite the season being curtailed due to COVID, the Villans still reached the FA Vase Fifth Round and were well poised for a title challenge – unbeaten in the 10 league matches they played, with Barzey bagging 4 goals along the way.

Also re-signing for Chesham is defender Romario Martin-Miles.

Originally with Dartford, the 23-year-old first signed for Chesham in October 2018 from Potters Bar Town, following the management team and several other players to the Meadow from the Scholars.

Both Barzey, who started, and Martin-Miles, who came off the bench, made their debuts for the Generals in the defeat at Plymouth against Truro City on Saturday.
