Stratford Lose Top Scorer to Bulls

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Stratford Town have suffered a blow with the loss of striker Jaanai Gordon to Vanarama National League North side Hereford FC.

Gordon is the Bards` top scorer this season, netting 9 goals in 19 games in all competitions having moved to the Arden Garages Stadium in August from league rivals Banbury United.

The 25-year-old played in the Football League for Peterborough United, Newport County and Cheltenham Town and had time with West Ham United before long-term injury ruled him out of the game for 18 months whilst at Cheltenham.

He returned to football towards the end of the 2018/19 season with Tamworth before joining Banbury United for the first time in August 2019.

He left the Puritans in November 2019 to join National League South side Oxford City before returning to Tamworth in the summer of 2020, and then re-joined Banbury in October 2020.
