Tremayne Charles broke the deadlock to give the Walnut Boys the lead on the hour-mark, only for David Parkinson from the spot 3 minutes later and James Towell in the 69th minute, putting the visitors in front.
Charles` second on 75 minutes brought the hosts back on level terms, but Leighton won the shoot-out 4-2.
Premier Division Central side Biggleswade Town went through by beating United Counties League Premier Division South outfit Potton United 3-1 at Langford Road.
Joe Neal with two and sub Jack Vasey with the Waders` goals, Potton`s reply being a Sam Willis penalty.
Two ties in the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup saw Premier Division South side Chesham United beat Vanarama National League South visitors Hungerford Town 2-1 at the Meadow.
Simo Mbonkwi gave the Crusaders a 43rd-minute lead that was cancelled out by Jaden Thompson-Brissett 10 minutes into the second half and then Brad Clayton won it for the Generals on 77 minutes.

The Railwaymen required a 3-2 win on penalties at the Loop Meadow Stadium to go through though following a 0-0 draw in normal time.

At Lye Meadow, Alvechurch beat league rivals and neighbours Redditch United 2-0 to reach the semi-finals.

League rivals Tamworth bowed out though, beaten 3-1 at National League North Leamington.
Nyal Bell scored the Lambs` consolation but goals from Sam Wilding, Steph Morley and sub Dan Turner saw the Brakes progress.
Another Premier Division Central side, Lowestoft Town, are out of the Suffolk Premier Cup, beaten by Isthmian League North Division hosts Stowmarket Town at Greens Meadow.
Goals from Willie Clemons after 10 minutes and Luke Brown just shy of the hour-mark saw Stow to victory against their higher-level visitors.

St Ives Town inflicted a 4-0 defeat on United Counties League Premier Division South neighbours Eynesbury Rovers in the Huntingdonshire Senior Cup, while Rushall Olympic won 3-0 at The Beeches against Midland League Premier Division side Tividale in the Walsall Senior Cup.
At Westwood Road, goals from Ben Toseland after 25 minutes, new signing Victor Aiyelabola on 38 minutes, and a brace from Dylan Williams in the 47th minute from the spot and then 80th minute from open play saw the Saints through.
Rushall are through to the semi-finals after a 3-0 win, thanks to goals from new signing Demitri Brown, Kory Roberts and Danny Glover.
There was a bit of a shock in the Hampshire Senior Cup though as Premier Division South side Hartley Wintney were beaten 1-0 by Sydenhams Football League (Wessex) Premier hosts AFC Portchester.
Former Sholing favourite Lee Wort’s goal on 73 minutes put the Royals through to the semi-finals.
