Paulton Rovers Lose Top Marksman

Pitching In Southern League Division One South club Paulton Rovers have confirmed that they have accepted an offer for last season's leading scorer Leighton Thomas from Vanarama National League South side Hungerford Town.

With the transfer Paulton receive an undisclosed fee with add-ons, including a percentage of any future transfer fees.

For 23-year-old Thomas, who is a Cayman Island under-21 international, it's a chance to step up two divisions up the pyramid.

Thomas attended the Southern Football League’s presentation evening last Saturday to receive his top goalscorers award.

Rovers boss John Rendell said: “We are naturally disappointed to lose Leighton but will not stand in the way of players progressing and wish him well for his future”.
