Kidlington Snap Up Two From Highworth

Kidlington have snapped up two players from new Pitching In Southern League Division One Central rivals Highworth Town.

Tough tackling, hardworking and skillful midfielder Matt Cheetham makes the switch, having been with the Worthians since August 2019.

The 30-year-old joined Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Royal Wootton Bassett Town from Hellenic Division One West side Clanfield in 2014 and was Bassett managers` player of the year for 2015/16.

Right back Dan Comer also makes the trip from the Save on Tyres Stadium to Yarnton Road.

The 25-year-old had joined the Worthians in July 2019 from relegated Wantage Town, where he helped the Freds win the Hellenic League title.

He was also previously with Royal Wootton Bassett where he picked up the managers` player of the year award in 2016/17 – the season after Cheetham’s award.
