Lovelock signed as a scholar for Rovers in May 2020 having previously been on the books at Larkhall’s Vanarama National League South neighbours Bath City.
In October 2021, Lovelock made his senior debut in an EFL Trophy tie against Chelsea under-21s when he, unfortunately, equalised for the opposition, turning the ball into his own net as the Premier League youngsters won 2–1.
In November 2021, the 18-year-old joined Larkhall’s then-league rivals Cirencester Town on loan and made a couple of appearances for the Centurians.
