Hitchin Bring in Three

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Hitchin Town have added a trio of new players to their group.

Defender Alfie Warman joins the Canaries following two seasons with local Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division neighbours Baldock Town.

The 21-year-old previously spent time at Codicote and Welwyn Garden City.

Central midfielder Leon Chambers-Parillon moves to Top Field from League One side Oxford United.

He started his career in the youth ranks at Luton Town and Aston Villa before joining the U’s in 2018.

He made his debut for Oxford in November 2020 in a 1–0 EFL Trophy tie with Walsall and then went on to make 3 League appearances.

He spent part of 2020/21 on loan with Hitchin’s then-league rivals Biggleswade Town and AFC Rushden & Diamonds.

The 20-year-old also spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Vanarama National League South sides Slough Town and Havant & Waterlooville and National League North outfit Gloucester City.

After impressing during Hitchin’s pre-season campaign, manager Mark Burke signed young left-sided defender Seni Akinola on Southern League forms.

He previously spent time in National League South new boys Cheshunt’s youth team and was part of the local Pro-Direct Academy.
