The 18-year-old was signed in time for him to feature on the bench in Bank Holiday Monday’s 3-1 home defeat to Tamworth, coming on as a 62nd-minute substitute for Danny Waldron.
Spiers is an athletic 6'1” who can play a variety of positions across defence and midfield.
He began his career with Coventry City, joining at the age of 10, but left the Sky Blues at under-14 level and joined Church’s league rivals Stratford Town.
He then moved to Shrewsbury Town as an under-16 in 2020.
He played in the Shrews` under-18 side before being released at the end of the 2021/22 season.
He trialled with Championship side Birmingham City in the summer.
