Tuesday`s Division One South Round-Up

Leaders Sholing dropped two home points in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South on Tuesday night after being held to a 1-1 draw by struggling Larkhall Athletic.

And the Boatmen could lose top spot if second-placed Exmouth Town win their derby at Tavistock AFC this evening by three clear goals.

And it could have been worse for Sholing as they trailed to Harry Simons` 16th-minute effort until the 89th minute when Wayne Robinson grabbed the Boatmen’s equaliser.

Frome Town are third and four points behind Sholing after winning 3-1 at the Causeway Ground against Cinderford Town.

Luke Hopper gave the visitors an early 9th-minute lead that Jamie Adams doubled after 21 minutes.

Mike Symons reduced the deficit 8 minutes into the second half, only for James Ollis to restore Frome’s two-goal advantage less than 2 minutes later.

There was joy at last for bottom side Lymington Town as, thanks to Lewis Waterfield’s 88th-minute drive from the edge of the box, they achieved their first win of the season against Hamworthy United at the Sports Ground.

Melksham Town could have gone into fourth place had they won at Bishops Cleeve.

But instead, the Kayte Lane outfit moved to within a point of their visitors in ninth after a 3-1 win.

Jack Watts after 20 minutes, Isaac Pearce in first half injury-time and then Watts again a minute from the end of normal time had Cleeve three-up before Luke Ballinger’s consolation 2 minutes into stoppage time.
