Read Brothers Re-Unite at AFC Totton

AFC Totton, chasing promotion from the Pitching In Southern League Division One South, have re-united brothers Freddie and Benny Read after signing the latter on loan from Vanarama National League South side Havant & Waterlooville.

The 25-year-old is the older brother of midfielder Freddie, who joined the Stags in June 2020 after returning from the United States where he played for Georgia State University.

Benny, a defender, joined Havant & Waterlooville in May 2019 as part of a new young player lead directive.

He signed for the club from Wessex League side Horndean.

In 2019, he had a trial at then-Championship side Sheffield United, although it was unsuccessful.
