However, the match between struggling Aylesbury United and play-off chasing AFC Dunstable had to be abandoned at The Meadow due to fog at around the 20-minute mark with the score still 0-0.
The evening’s other game between Biggleswade Town and Ware at the Yvette Brewer Stadium did play to a finish though.
Paul Halsey’s Ware side were looking to get back on track following three successive defeats, while Robbie O’Keefe’s Waders were also looking to bounce back from two defeats in a row.
It was the home side who started the better and it came as little surprise when Sam Tinubu gave Biggleswade a 17th-minute lead.
Five minutes before half-time, and the Waders doubled their advantage through Jake Bunyan.
Nine minutes after the break, Ware got themselves back into the game with a first goal for new signing Declan Nche.
Then, just past the hour-mark, Theo Ofori pulled the visitors back on level terms.
However, with 20 minutes remaining, Lanre Ladipo restored Biggleswade’s lead and 8 minutes later, Francis Mampolo made sure of the win with a fourth.
Ware remain in fourth spot, with the Waders now tenth, eight points adrift of the play-off places.
