Marlow's Successful Appeal Leaves League One Short

The Buckinghamshire club's appeal to the FA to being switched from the Isthmian League to the Pitching In Southern Football League was successful.

On Friday late afternoon, the League were advised that following an FA Alliance Committee meeting to discuss Club Allocations, following the decision that Marlow FC had won their appeal against being allocated to the Southern Football League, that the Southern League Division One Central will run with one team less (a total of 83 clubs), while the Isthmian League will run with one extra club.

The league’s representative strongly opposed running one team short. However, the decision of the Alliance Committee is final but the league is extremely disappointed with this decision.
