Ryan Wollacott receives his award
Adam Harrison, Ryan Wollacott, Calum Flanagan and Aram Soleman have all agreed to remain at the Trico Stadium.
Goalkeeper Harrison, 24, started his career at Leicester City.
He joined Northern Premier Division One Midlands side Bedworth United in the summer of 2018 after his release by the Foxes and had a very successful season with the under-21s, making several appearances for the first team too.
He moved on to Midland League side Tividale and then to league rivals Worcester City midway through the 2021/22 season.
He signed for Redditch in December 2022.
Clarke told his club’s website: “Adam came in just before Christmas into a team that had been conceding goals and he kept an impressive amount of clean sheets. He was man of the match in a number of games so it was very very important for us to retain the services of Adam.”
Experienced defender Wollacott, 28, signed for the Reds in May 2021.
He left JD Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town to join Redditch’s league rivals Alvechurch in October 2019.
He left the Mid-Wales club after four seasons following a move from Midland League side Stourport Swifts.
The central defender featured in a Welsh Cup final defeat to the Connah’s Quay Nomads back in 2018.
He returned to Stourport in July 2020
Clarke added: “Ryan has probably been the most consistent player that I’ve had in my time here. He’s the only one I think we’ve got remaining (since his first season), he was one of my first signings from Stourport and he’s been very consistent ever since - hence why he’s been managers` player two years on the trot which tells you a lot about him. He’s added goals to his game with a number of goals (7) last season which were really important and he’s been instrumental in our backline so he’s a very important player to retain.”
Another central defender, Flanagan, originally signed for Redditch in January 2021 from new league rivals Halesowen Town.
The 31-year-old had joined the Yeltz in July 2021.
He came through the Aston Villa academy and spent time on loan with Kettering Town whilst on Villa`s books.
In November 2011 he signed for Hinckley AFC after being released from Villa Park and went on to have spells with Worcester City, Redditch United, Hednesford Town, Solihull Moors and Rushall Olympic before having a bit of time out of the game.
Clarke commented on Flanagan’s retained services: “Calum has missed a lot of football having been out since Boxing Day, he was a massive loss especially with the way we want to play the game. So by him coming back pre-season he'll play an important role - he’s important for the group and important for us.”
The Reds have also retained the services of energetic midfielder Aram Soleman.
The 23-year-old signed for the Reds in December 2021 from then-league rivals Hednesford Town, where he had been since late October 2021.
He had joined Northern Premier League Premier Division side Matlock Town earlier in October from Tamworth but within a week he had returned to then-Vanarama National League North side Guiseley!
He had joined the Lambs in October 2020 from Bromsgrove Sporting after only having been with them since September 2020 from Guiseley.
He started his career with West Bromwich Albion, where he progressed through to the Baggies under-18 and under-23 squads.
He was released in the summer of 2018 and signed for National League side Solihull Moors but left for United Counties League Premier Division South outfit Coventry United after failing to breakthrough into the first team at the Moors.
He switched to Bromsgrove`s league rivals Rushall Olympic in March 2019 and then onto Guiseley in the summer of 2019.
