First New Glassboy Signing Announced

Pitching In Southern League Premier Division Central club Stourbridge have announced their first new signing ahead of the 2023/24 season.

Having retained several of last season’s squad, joint bosses Stuart Pierpoint and Leon Broadhurst have brought the versatile Zak Lilly back to the War Memorial Athletic Ground from Vanarama National League North side Hereford.

The 25-year-old featured for the Glassboys on loan during the 2018/19 season from new league rivals AFC Telford United.

Lilly he had been with Hereford since June 2022 after arriving from the then-league rivals Telford.

He had been with the Bucks since back in July 2015 following successful trials having impressed for the AFC Wulfrunians youth team.

He was loaned out to Sutton Coldfield Town in September 2015 and spent a good portion of that season with the Royals.

He then spent a month on loan with Leamington early in the 2016/17 season, making 4 appearances before returning to the Bucks.

He joined Rushall Olympic on loan at the start of the 2017/18 campaign, but injury disrupted his season, although in January 2018 he was loaned out again to Romulus and then ended the 2018/19 season on loan again, this time with Stourbridge.
