The two top both won in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South as Willand Rovers prospered 3-2 at Westbury United, for whom Charlie Walton opening the scoring. However, within four minutes Alfie Moulden equalised only for Callum Demkiv to put the home side back in front early in the second period. Ryan Guppy levelled matters with just nine minutes to go and then Nathan Byrne bagged a dramatic stoppage time winner.
It was a far more convincing victory for Bemerton Heath Harlequins who found themselves four goals to the good within the opening 23 minutes against Yate Town as Stuart Green, George Britton and a brace from Muhammed Jatta got their names onto the scoresheet.
There was also three points for Wimborne Town as they beat Bideford 3-1. Harry Baker wasted little time in giving them the lead before doubling the advantage early in the second half. Shortly afterwards Finn Roberts reduced the arrears before Oakley Hanger completed the scoring to seal the points for the home team.
Tavistock came home from Devon rivals, Exmouth Town, with a 1-0 win thanks to Daniel Koita’s late strike in a game which also saw the home team miss a penalty.
Also missing from the spot was Matt Turner of Malvern Town as they succumbed to a 3-1 reverse at Bristol Manor Farm. Ben Bament opened the scoring for The Farmers moments after Turner had a goal ruled out for offside, and then Owen Brain and Lloyd Mills put the home side in command going into the break. Joe Bullock pulled a consolation goal back in the second half.
