The top two in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South failed to win as Willand Rovers were held to a 2-2 home draw by Larkhall Athletic, who took the lead through Harvey Pritchard. The lead didn’t last long as Alfie Moulden levelled matters, but Larkhall hit back through Thomas Bradley only for Owen Howe to equalise in the second half and that’s how it remained.
Meanwhile Bemerton Heath Harlequins were beaten by a Jacob Brown goal at Cribbs who claimed their third League success of the season.
An impressive first half showing saw Wimborne Town race into a three-goal lead against Bristol Manor Farm. Harry Baker hit the opener early on and then grabbed the third nine minutes before the break with Jez Bedford’s strike sandwiched in between. Jack Lovell completed the scoring early in the second half.
Frome Town jumped above Mousehole courtesy of a single-goal victory at Badgers Hill as Zach Drew notched the winner ten minutes from the break.
There was a first League win of the season for Evesham United as late goals in quick succession from Alfie Dunn and Levi Steele gave them a 2-0 triumph over Bashley. The result moved the Worcestershire outfit off the bottom of the table, to be replaced by Exmouth Town who lost 3-1 at home to Malvern Town despite taking the lead through Ben Steer. A second half double from Jordan Annear and a further strike from Ben Hayes gave The Hillsiders their second success of the season.
Tavistock claimed a third clean sheet in a row courtesy of a 2-0 triumph at Paulton Rovers, a result which moved them into the top ten. Ed Harrison and Tallan Burns scored the goals in either half.
It was an enjoyable away day for Yate Town as they secured an impressive 3-0 victory at Melksham Town with goals from Dylan Lewis, Callum Hutton and Daniel Dempsey.
The day’s other game saw Bishops Cleeve take all three points with a 3-2 triumph over Westbury United. Ross Langworthy gave them the lead before Harvey Flippance restored parity, but within four minutes, Ethan Dunbar had regained the lead for Cleeve. A goal shortly before the break from Harrison Reeves extended their advantage and whilst Charlie Walton pulled a goal back with a quarter-of-an-hour to go, they were unable to find an equaliser.
