With the top two in the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central not in action, it gave Waltham Abbey the chance to strengthen their place just behind them with a 3-2 victory at Biggleswade Town.
The home side edged in front through Damani Hunter but a brace from Prince Domafriyie early in the second period turned the scoreline around. Jonathan Lacey levelled things up with 20 minutes to go before Ben Baker grabbed a late winner.
There was drama in our Star Game as AFC Dunstable won 3-2 at Kidlington. Piers Walton gave the home side, who went into the game four unbeaten, the lead during the first half and they held on to it until an action-packed final 20 minutes where Enrico Greco levelled only for Connor Ferguson to put Kidlington back in front. Ethan Holt made it 2-2 with ten minutes to go before Greco (pictured) popped up with what proved to be the winner a few minutes later.
Hertford Town moved up to fourth with a deserved 2-0 victory over Biggelswade. A goal in each half from Kurainashe Musanhi and Sonny Coughlin-Brown earned the victory.
Just behind them in fifth-place are Ware who raced into a three-goal first half lead against Hadley thanks to goals from Mitch Hahn, David Sota and Liam Dulson. The visitors hit back at the start of the second period with a double from Isaac Stones before Dulson notched his second to secure a 4-2 win.
The day’s other game saw bottom of the table Thame United lose 3-1 at home to Leighton Town, whilst the wet weather was the winner at Bedford Town, Kings Langley and Welwyn Garden City.
