A hat-trick from Jack Lovell helped leaders, Wimborne Town, on their way to a 4-2 victory over fellow high-flyers, Willand Rovers, in the Pitching In Southern League Division One South.
Lovell (pictured) opened the scoring just past the quarter-hour mark before adding a second early in the second half. Lewis Beale looked to have put the game out of reach with a third but the visitors hit back through Owen Howe and Charlie Wright before Lovell completed his hat-trick to seal the game towards the end.
They lead Cribbs on goal difference and the Bristol-based side had to work hard for their victory at bottom of the table, Exmouth Town, for whom Thomas Bath put them ahead only for Dan Stoneman and David Duru to turn the scoreline around on the stroke of half-time. Tom Gardner pulled the home side back level but the talented Duru conjured his second and what proved to be the winner seven minutes later.
Another player hitting a hat-trick was Dawid Regula for Larkhall Athletic who beat Paulton Rovers 4-0 with Archie Ferris hitting the other goal.
Two Worcestershire outfits enjoying some good form are Evesham United, who beat Tavistock 3-1 helped by an Alfie Dunn brace, and Malvern Town, who came from behind to beat Mousehole thanks to goals from defender, Carrick Hill, and leading scorer, Jack Watts, after Hayden Turner had given the visitors the lead.
It was a successful away day for Bideford as they beat Bashley 3-1 with first half goals from Rob Farkins and Mattie Buchan followed by a late third from Archie Reay. Harry Bunce hit a consolation effort for the home side in stoppage time at the end.
A first half double from George Kellow saw Bristol Manor Farm beat Westbury United, whilst it ended all square at Bemerton Heath Harlequins as they played out a 2-2 draw with Melksham Town. Robbie James’ opener for the visitors was soon cancelled out by Domenico Panesar-Dower and then when Stuart Mott put the hosts in front, it didn’t take long for Joe Porton to grab a shared of the spoils.
