Pitching In Southern League Division One Central leaders, Bedford Town, remain unbeaten but they were held to a 1-1 home draw by Leighton Town.
A goal from Shane Bush at the start of the second period looked to have set them on their way only for Luke Pyman to level matters on the hour and that’s how it stayed.
Second-placed North Leigh were well beaten at Biggleswade Town, who scored three times without reply. Luke Andrews set them on their way before Jonathan Lacey doubled the advantage as half-time approached. At the death Andrews added his second to complete the scoring and move his side up to third place.
In our Star Game, Ware came from behind to win 3-1 at AFC Dunstable with their three goals all coming in the final 20 minutes. Ethan Holt had given the hosts the lead on the quarter-hour mark only for Jon Clements to strike twice and then Liam Dulson add a last minute third. The victory moves Ware back into the top five.
Also securing an away win was Barton Rovers, who came away from Hadley 3-1 victors after Jemale Olayinka hit two quickfire goals in first half stoppage time to put them in the driving seat. Isaac Stones pulled one back for the hosts before Taylor Rhiney restored the two-goal advantage.
There was away day joy too for Biggleswade as they triumphed 2-1 at Kidlington. Amaru Kaunda opened the scoring at the end of the opening period for the visitors but that effort was cancelled out by Ben Richards. Parity was to last just three minutes before Charlie Hayford popped up with the winner.
At the bottom, Kempston Rovers remain at the foot of the table after they lost 2-1 at Stotfold, for whom Robbie Buchanan and Kurtis Alleyne found the net either side of the interval, with Erin Amu hitting the consolation goal for the visitors.
Thame United led briefly at Kings Langley before going down to a 3-1 defeat to remain amongst the bottom three. Eitel Moumi Goueth put the visitors ahead only for Harrison Crawford to level two minutes later. After the break, Louie Collier and Isaac Pedro made the game safe for the home side.
The day’s other game was an entertaining affair as Aylesbury United beat Welwyn Garden City 3-2. Josh Steele put the visitors in front only for the hosts to hit back with two goals just before the break from Derek Feyi and Kennedy Feyi. A third from David Pearce looked to have made the points safe for the Ducks who held on despite the visitors hitting a stoppage time goal from Cyrus Babaie-Gumbs.
