The Pitching In Southern League Division One South saw Cribbs battle out a 2-1 victory over Malvern Town to sit level on points with Wimborne Town at the top of the table.
Early goals from Reece Hedges and Jacob Brown did the damage as Ben Hayes marked his return from injury with a consolation goal for the visitors.
Having started the season slowly, Evesham United are now on the fringes of the play-off places after Jordy Ngathe’s goal on the half-hour mark was enough to overcome the challenge of Bishops Cleeve.
There was an impressive away win for Westbury United as goals from Stephen Hulbert and Callum Demkiv at the start and end of the opening period gave them a 2-0 triumph at Melksham Town.
It was honours even in the local derby at Yate Town where Jack Ball gave them an 83rd minute lead only for Bristol Manor Farm to level the scores just two minutes later through Daniel Dodimead.
The games at Larkhall Athletic and Mousehole both fell victim of the wet New Year weather.
