Redditch United have decided to open their gates and offer free admission to all for their Pitching In Southern League Premier Central clash with Hitchin Town on Monday, January 15th.
It’s a fantastic gesture from a club that has made forward strides both on and off the pitch this season.
“We recognise that January is a tough time with financial constraints, and we’re dedicated to ensuring that football is available to everyone,” said Chairman, David Faulkner. “The continued support of our local community has enabled us to continue to grow and the future of the football club has never looked so bright.
“Redditch United is more than just a football club; it is a community, a family. Our collective sense of belonging goes beyond the boundaries of the pitch, transcending the beautiful game to touch the lives of everyone involved.
“We are proud to have become an even bigger part of our local community over the past year and we aim to continue with this mission in 2024.”
Supporters will also be able to purchase reduced rate tickets for their forthcoming local derby with Bromsgrove Sporting, which takes place on Saturday, January 20th, at the game.
The Reds currently sit in fourth place in the table, just three points off the lead ahead of tonight’s trip to fellow high-flyers and current League leaders, Needham Market.
