We’re looking forward to another great weekend of action throughout our four divisions and also in the Emirates FA Cup, where our last two representatives, Kettering Town and Harborough Town, are in second round action against Football League opponents.
Here is our pick of the League action:
AFC TOTTON v SWINDON SUPERMARINE | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
With just one League defeat all season, the third-placed hosts will be provided with a stern test here against in-form and upwardly-mobile opponents. For AFC Totton, this will be their first League action since the turn of the month, so they will be eager to add some points to their tally, whilst Swindon Supermarine are now just a couple of points off the top five following a run that has seen them unbeaten in five League games, including a 3-1 victory over Marlow last weekend.
STOURBRIDGE v HALESOWEN TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
Not only is this a fiercely-contested local derby, it also pits two teams in the leading pack against each other. The hosts go into the game in fifth place on the back of three successive clean sheets, which have yielded one win and two draws. Meanwhile the visitors are second in the table having won their last five League games in a row, including a 3-1 triumph over Biggleswade Town last weekend. The ground capacity has had to be reduced, but there is sure to be a cracking atmosphere here.
MELKSHAM TOWN v YATE TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
The home side sit just outside the top five but with games in hand over all teams above them. They saw a three-game unbeaten run come to an end on Wednesday evening with defeat at Larkhall Athletic, only their third League reverse of what has been a solid season so far. They will be tested with this visit from the title favourites who sit six points clear at the top and with a game in hand over their nearest challengers. They battled out a 1-0 victory over Evesham United last weekend, their 12th League win of the season already.
HADLEY v FLACKWELL HEATH | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
The big games keep coming thick and fast for the hosts, who find themselves in third place in the table, just two points off the lead. They face opponents here who are level on points with them and have also started the campaign well. Hadley have just one defeat from 16 League games and played out a 1-1 draw at fellow high-flyers Real Bedford last time out. Meanwhile Flackwell Heath bounced back from home defeat last weekend by winning 1-0 at AFC Dunstable on Tuesday evening. An entertaining encounter is in prospect here.
