All of the signs are that the weather is going to be much kinder to us than it was last weekend and as such we look forward to plenty of great action across our four divisions.
Here is our pick of the action:
HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE v MERTHYR TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
The leaders will be given a real test at their fifth-place hosts. Both teams were fancied to do well this season; the hosts are looking to get back into winning ways after failing to win in their last two outings having previously enjoyed six straight League victories. The visitors have been held to draws in each of their last four games, the latest coming on Tuesday against second-place AFC Totton. This is going to be some battle.
SPALDING UNITED v STRATFORD TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
This encounter pits the upwardly-mobile hosts against opponents who go into the game in the second-place in the table. For the home side, they have won their last three games in a row as part of a nine-game unbeaten run that leaves them just three points shy of the top five. Meanwhile The Bards have just one defeat from their last five outings, the last of which saw them beat St. Ives Town 2-0 on Tuesday evening.
BEMERTON HEATH HARLEQUINS v EVESHAM UNITED | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
The home team sit just three points outside of the top five and they will be looking to get back on track after their impressive run of form was ended by defeats in their last two outings, at the hands of Westbury United and Malvern Town in the fog last weekend. The visitors have been in a rich vein of scoring form recently with 12 goals from their last three games, including a 4-1 away win at Cribbs on Tuesday night. It leaves them third in the table.
WELWYN GARDEN CITY v THAME UNITED | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
This encounter pits together two teams who sit just outside the top five and are eager to keep in touch with those teams directly above them and not let the points gap get too great. The home team are four unbeaten and will be looking to get into some momentum, whilst their visitors, who sit one place and four points above them, are eager to get their first action of 2025 having seen their last couple of games fall victim to the winter weather.
