The month of February gets underway with some great action across all four of our divisions.
Here’s our pick of the games:
GLOUCESTER CITY v AFC TOTTON | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
Third plays host to second in this intriguing clash. The home side are undefeated in their last seven League games since suffering a heavy defeat at Plymouth Parkway, although four of those games have ended in draws. They head into battle on the back of a 1-0 win at Bracknell Town on Tuesday to face opponents who had a commanding victory last time out and have games in hand over those teams around them in the table. They have lost just two of their 25 League games, but know that this one will be a big test.
AFC TELFORD UNITED v HARBOROUGH TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
The hosts roared back to the top of the table on Tuesday evening courtesy of an emphatic 6-2 victory over previous leaders, Bedford Town, as they bounced back in the right way from defeat in their previous outing. They face opponents who sit one place outside the play-off zone and saw their six-game consecutive winning streak come to an end in their last game with a home defeat at the hands of Stourbridge. It will be a test of their character as they travel to opponents who will be in upbeat mood in front of what is expected to be a large crowd.
FALMOUTH TOWN v BISHOPS CLEEVE | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GAME HAS SINCE BEEN POSTPONED.
A run of six straight wins has thrust the home side in to play-off contention. They are in a rich vein of form and return to home action against opponents who sit in the last play-off place, eight points ahead of their Cornish hosts, who will be keen for that gap not to be extended here. The visitors are enjoying another solid season and go into the game on the back of just one defeat from their last eight League outings, so this encounter will see two in-form sides go head-to-head in what promises to be a hard-fought clash.
REAL BEDFORD v FLACKWELL HEATH | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
This encounter pits two sides together who are new to this League this season but have both made a really positive impact. The home side sit pretty at the top of the table and have scored a highly impressive 74 goals from their 24 League outings. They are on a run of six straight wins as they prepare to face opponents who are third in the table and on an eight-game unbeaten League run. The visitors go into the game on the back of four successive home games and this has all the ingredients to be a real cracker.
