FOUR TO FOLLOW | WEEKEND ACTION

We look at the pick of the action across our four divisions

We prepare for another exciting weekend across all four of our divisions. Here’s our pick of the action:

HAVANT & WATERLOOVILLE v WALTON & HERSHAM | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER SOUTH
With both teams sitting just in and around the play-off places, a big three points are up for grabs here. The home team go into the game in sixth place just one place and one point below their opponents who occupy the last play-off spot. The hosts have won just one of their last five League outings, including a 1-0 reverse in their last game at in-form Hungerford Town. Meanwhile the away team are on a four-game unbeaten League run and go into the game fresh from a 4-2 triumph over Winchester City last weekend.

STAMFORD v LEISTON | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE PREMIER CENTRAL
It’s a very fluid situation amongst the leading pack. Seven points separate the top seven sides, of which both of these clubs are part of. They sit just outside the play-off places, in sixth and seventh place respectively, and with just a point separating them. The hosts go into the game on the back of two successive hard-fought 1-0 wins, whilst the away side have won their last four games in a row without conceding a goal. This promises to be an intriguing contest between two teams who hope to break into the top five.

YATE TOWN v FALMOUTH TOWN | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE SOUTH
The home side have had their wings clipped somewhat in recent weeks. They still have a commanding six-point lead at the top of the table, but their last two games on home soil have seen them held to a 1-1 draw by Bideford on Tuesday evening having previously lost at the hands of Malvern Town, so they will keen to bounce back against opponents in a rich vein of form. The visitors are on a six-game winning run but frustratingly for them have seen their last two games postponed, so they will be chomping at the bit for this one.

BARTON ROVERS v FLACKWELL HEATH | PITCHING IN SOUTHERN LEAGUE DIVISION ONE CENTRAL
The home side have slipped to one place outside the play-off positions following a recent run which has seen them winless in their last three League games. They lost at home to Aylesbury United in their last League outing and as such will be determined to get back on track against opponents who sit third following just four defeats from their 25 League outings. The visitors are still recovering from last weekend’s breathless 5-5 draw at leaders, Real Bedford, as they made it nine League games without defeat.
