LEIGHTON TOWN | PST SPORT CLUB OF THE MONTH AWARD FOR MARCH 2025

Perfect month for the Division One Central club

Ahead of Saturday’s game, Southern League Director, Terry Barratt, was on hand to present the Leighton Town management team with their PST Sport Club of the Month award for March 2025.

It was a month that saw the Pitching In Southern League Division One Central club pick up all 21 available points.

The month started with two quickfire goals early in the second half from Kyal Williams and Godlove Oppong to give them a 2-0 victory over Hertford Town.

A late Charlie Pattison effort was enough to see off the challenge of AFC Dunstable in the next game before Kyal Williams and Godlove Oppong were both on the scoresheet once more in a 2-1 victory over Kidlington.

Oppong bagged the winner in their next outing at Kings Langley and it was followed by another clean sheet and a 2-0 triumph over Welwyn Garden City. An early own goal set them on their way as Kyal Williams notched a second goal just past the half-hour mark.

There was just one goal in it as they travelled to Aylesbury United and came home with a 1-0 win thanks to an 18th minute effort from Toluwalope Ikuyinminu.

A commanding 3-0 away win at bottom of the table, North Leigh, brought the month to a close and saw them with a perfect record from their seven games. Lynton Goss set them on their way before Kyal Williams added two more goals to his ever-increasing tally.
