The FA has announced the appointment of Chris Brown as the first independent Chair of the National Leagues Pyramid [NLP] Board.
The appointment follows an extensive recruitment process, with Chris Brown’s recommendation coming from an FA Nominations Committee, before being ratified by the National Leagues Pyramid Board.
The National Leagues Pyramid Board is the Senior Committee of The FA that represents the Men's National League System Steps 1-6 and the Women's Football Pyramid Tiers 3-6.
It sets the strategy to support the development of football across the National Leagues Pyramid, including the support to Clubs, Leagues and those working and volunteering across the game at this level.
Chris’s career spans 35 years in professional services with Deloitte, PwC and EY, serving clients across a range of industries with strategy, commercial and technology support to business and government. He has been a member of the Paralympics GB Board for the last seven years, chairing the Finance & Audit Committee and acting as the Senior Independent director for the Board. Chris is also the Chair of the Trading Subsidiary for the Invictus Games 2027 in Birmingham.
He will take up the role of chair from Jack Pearce MBE who has served for over 20 years across various FA committees including National Game Board, Alliance Leagues Committee and on the FA Board.
