Following four years at the helm, Ollie Price has taken the decision to step down as manager of Pitching In Southern League Division One South outfit, Larkhall Athletic.
“I’ve given it a lot of thought and feel that now is the right time to step down,” he said. “The club and its supporters have always given me their full backing, which I have always appreciated, but now it’s time to give someone else the chance to take the club forward.
“I have loved every minute of my four years in charge and there have been numerous good times. The FA Trophy tie away at Stockport County will live long in the memory, as will the FA Cup encounter with Bath City in front of a sold-out Plain Ham.
“Finishing sixth in 2023/24, the club’s best finish for eight years, was also something that I am extremely proud of.
“It’s also been a pleasure to have been part of the overall development of the club with the 3G playing surface and new stand, which has given the club and community a real boost to become bigger and better in the future.
“I wish the new management team nothing but success going forward; this truly is a special club with some wonderful people behind-the-scenes.
“A big thank you to every single player that has played for me as well. It’s been a pleasure.”
Chairman, Paul Rankin, added: “I would like to express our sincere gratitude, both personally and on behalf of the club, for the outstanding contribution Ollie has made, as player, captain and, most recently, manager.
“He has worked tirelessly to improve performances and has represented the club impeccably, upholding the highest standards and values that we believe in.
“We wish Ollie and his family all of the very best. He will always remain a true Larkhall Athletic legend.”
The club sit in the middle of the table as they head into Saturday’s trip to Bideford AFC.
