High hopes for new non-League platform

A number of Southern League players are behind the development and launch of a new platform called Pitchscout.

It’s billed as ‘LinkedIn for non-League’, a hub for everything from opportunities, recruitment, discussion, news and making connections.

“The idea came when I was sat in uni with my mate talking about non-League and the lack of opportunities for players with minimal contacts due to being young or moving areas,” said founder and former Melksham Town man, Henry Sady, who is now plying his trade with Chippenham Town in The National League South. “The web app works a bit like LinkedIn for non-League; players and coaches create an account and can post on our community feed or message each other to interact and connect.

“It’s early days, but things are going very well so far. We have over 850+ users on the app and the feedback we are getting is great! We are continuing to grow and establish ourselves as a trusted app.

“We have big hopes for the app in the upcoming year, we have plans to make it even better for our current users and maybe even expand into different areas of amateur football!

“We have already helped several Southern League players get moves and we have also been working closely with several clubs to put forward players on our app who we recommend.

“I am excited to see where this can go.”
