Successive 2-0 victories this week have strengthened Real Bedford’s place in the top three of the Pitching In Southern League Premier Central table.
Having secured a win at Barwell on Saturday, they followed it up with a commanding display against Bromsgrove Sporting on Tuesday evening to secure their third triumph in a row in what has been a positive start to 2026.
Since securing promotion at the end of last term, the club has lost just five of its 24 League games at the higher level, much to the delight of manager, Rob Sinclair.
“The lads are giving a really good account of themselves,” he said. “To get three wins in a row is important and we want to be able to continue building momentum.
“I thought that our performance on Tuesday was outstanding. From the first minute to the last we dominated the ball and created numerous chances.
“In the end we could have won by a bigger margin, but we’ll take the three points and look to add to it in our next game.”
So, what has been the secret to their solid campaign so far as they have gotten to grips with the demands of Step 3 football in what is their first-ever taste of life at this level.
“First and foremost you have to work hard, that is a given,” Sinclair added. “Then you have to be able to show the courage to play the way we want to, which is not always easy.
“The lads were a pleasure to watch on Tuesday with the way in which they moved the ball around and we scored two really good goals, which came as a result of some outstanding build-up play.
“The attitude, endeavour and determination of the lads has been first-class in what is a demanding League.
“We face another tough test on Saturday with the visit of Worcester City. Our approach will be exactly the same and hopefully it will lead to another victory for us and three vital points.”
