Bashley are bouncing following the recent appointment of Wayne Crutcher as manager.
Crutcher has overseen successive victories in his first two games in charge as his new-look team followed up Saturday’s 1-0 win at Exmouth Town with a first home success since November on Tuesday evening as they beat Sporting Club Inkberrow 3-2.
It has given them a fighting chance of escaping the clutches of the bottom four.
“The last two results have been massive for us,” said skipper, Brad Morris. “Every player has applied themselves in a way that the manager has asked of us, which has led to two deserved wins from two excellent team performances.
“It’s been quite a turnaround already and our belief is growing all of the time. We’re very much looking forward to what the run-in holds in store for us.
“Every game will be huge for us as a collective. The manager and his staff have clear ambitions and goals for the end of the season and as a squad we will do everything we can to achieve those.
“I feel we have been really competitive in a lot games we have played this season but we’ve not been able to pick up the number of points that we have deserved. But that happens in this league as games can go either way.
“It’s a case of fine margins and having that little bit of luck too, which every team needs along the way.
“We’re looking forward to testing ourselves against Malvern Town on Saturday. They are flying high in the table, but we go into the game full of confidence and determined to add to our winning run and keep building momentum.
“The main aim, not just for myself, but the other players, manager, staff and club is to make sure that we hold on to our Southern League status for next season.
“We’ll be doing all we can to try and achieve this in our remaining games, so bring it on!”
