Bromsgrove Sporting moved emphatically four points clear at the top of the BetVictor Southern League Premier Division Central table on Tuesday night after hammering beleaguered bottom-of-the-table Redditch United 7-1.

In front of another terrific crowd of 944 at the Victoria Ground, Sporting couldn`t have wished for a better start in the Worcestershire derby when Will Shorrock gave them an early 2nd minute lead. However, it wasn`t until just before half-time that Brendan Kelly`s side began to run away with it when they added two goals in 4 minutes from Richard Gregory and Greg Mills.

Josh Endall gave Reds` supporters hope of a comeback when he reduced the deficit 5 minutes after the break, but Gregory`s second in the 63rd minute killed off those hopes and seconds later, Michael Taylor made it a nap hand. And in the last 8 minutes, Shaquille McDonald and Shorrock again added two more to make it 7-1.
