Ahead of Saturday’s Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central match vs Didcot Town, manager Bren Kelly talks our opposition, the win against Corby and praise for our ever-loyal support.
“After a thrilling day at the VG last Saturday, we travel away to Didcot this week for yet another tricky fixture.
“Last Saturday was a very pleasing performance and result and it’s imperative we continue in that vein of form.
“I believe that, to a man, we were better than Corby and deserved the win, in front of a record league crowd.
“The fans were fantastic – thank you so much.
“As we go into Saturday’s game, I look at the table and see us 20 points clear of 4th place Didcot.
“But, rest assured, we will not be taking any notice of that, as I am well aware how difficult a game it is.
“They have made some signings and will certainly pose a different threat to what they did when we played them last time.
“A lot of our lads have not played there before either, so our concentration, which has been excellent of late, will have to be good again.
“Squad wise, we are looking good, with only Shozza (Will Shorrock) unavailable – however, he is back in light training.
“Following eight straights wins, we are confident, but we know nothing less than a 9th win in a row is acceptable, if we want to keep the pressure on Peterborough Sports.
