With the top three in the BetVictor Southern League Division One Central seemingly pulling away from the chasing pack, the race is on for the other play-off places.
A crucial game takes place on Saturday at the ASM Stadium where seventh-placed Thame United play the team immediately above them, Yaxley.
Yaxley had a fine run of eight games without defeat – a run which saw them leap up the table – until finding new leaders Halesowen Town too hot to handle on Tuesday night.
They certainly have aspirations for landing a play-off spot as do Thame !!
Thame have been inactive since February 8th, so have been unable to make up for the 2-1 loss at home to second-placed Berkhamsted on that day, and have lost their keeper Craig Hill to Corby Town this week a keeper of note and appreciated by the Red Kite supporters.
New keeper was signed for the weekend, as Fred Chapman flew in for the Red Kites
